Do you really want to Perserve your Bridal Gown?
64You spent a lot of money on your Wedding Gown to look your best, to feel sexy and to express your style! Your gown was one of the best parts of your ceremony. Will your gown just hang in your closet as a wedding bygone? Maybe you will offer it to your daughter, sister, or close friend when they decide to get married? Will you even consider having a "Renewal of the Vows" for your 10th, 20th or even 50th anniversary?
Do today brides still have these dreams?
Ten, Twenty or Thirty years from now who knows what you will decide to do with your Bridal Gown. The good thing is you don't have to make this decision today. In any event, you would be very disappointed if your dress wasn't in top shape when you did remove it from the closet.
Here are 3 easy ways to preserving your Bridal Gown:
- 1. Cleaning: Your gown should always be taken to a professional who specializes in cleaning wedding gowns. If your gown happens to be stained with white wine, Ginger Ale, cake or any sugary substance, it needs to be treated with a chemical to dissolve the sugar water.
- 2. Container: Your gown should be stored in a container which is Acid Free. If you choose to put paper around the gown, the paper needs to be Acid Free. Some containers are PH Neutral-this is not good enough for your gown.
- 3. Where You Keep It: Not in the Attic. Not in the Basement. Your Bridal Gown is like you. It wants to be warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Follow these easy steps to preserve your Bridal Gown and you will keep your wedding memory alive for years!
